Vozes da Floresta begins with four peoples of the Amazon. Others will join in time, at the rhythm of each community.

Huni Kuin

The Huni Kuin live along the Jordão, Tarauacá, Envira and Purus rivers. Their tradition includes prayed songs, body paintings with jenipapo and urucum, and a system of knowledge transmitted orally between generations.

Yawanawa

The Yawanawa walk a path of cultural strengthening recognised throughout the Amazon. Their songs, festivals and ancestral practices are shared with those who come close with humility.

The Noke Koi live in the Juruá Valley. Their flutes, healing songs and intimate relationship with plants form a body of knowledge transmitted with discretion and care.
